Harborough District Council are seeking volunteers to become COMMUNITY FLOOD WARDENS in the local area.
Flood Wardens will be supported by the Local Authorities, the Environment Agency and LLE Prepared and will receive direct flood warnings from the Environment Agency to pass on to neighbours and those at risk from flooding.

New signs have been put up across the Harborough district urging dog owners to walk their pets responsibly.
The signs warn dog owners that they could face fixed fines of £500 – or up to £1,000 if convicted – if they allow their dog to foul, do not put it on a lead when instructed, or fail to produce a bag to pick after their pets.

Subscriptions are now open for residents in the Harborough district to have their garden waste collected from April 2017.
Harborough District Council is inviting residents to sign up for an annual subscription fee of £40 per green bin.

Residents in the Harborough district who have already subscribed to the council's garden waste collection service will receive an extra green bin collection in January.
Harborough District Council has agreed that green bins will be collected during the weeks commencing 9 and 16 January 2017 on the normal recycling collection day (when the blue-lidded recycling bin is collected).
