Flooding Mill on the Soar Junction

Flooding Mill on the Soar Junction

We have been informed by a member of the public that there is flooding at the junction of the B114 and B581 near to the current roadworks ( Mill on the Soar junction)

This is a suspected burst water main.

The road is currently impassable and there will be delays, please try to avoid the area.

DOG WASTE BINS

At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic the contractor employed by the Parish Council made the decision to concentrate their waste services on nursing homes, other clinical and medical establishments leaving the Parish with no means of servicing the red dog waste bins.

CROFT QUARRY - BLASTING

The Parish Council have received notification that further blasting at Croft Quarry is scheduled for tomorrow - Thursday 3 September 2020.

They have stated that Broughton Astley may hear and feel tremors from the explosions and wished to make residents aware prior to the event.
