WALNUT CLOSE - CLOSURE

Walnut Close will be closed from 15 July for 4 days to allow for the installation of a new highway storm pipe.

ANNUAL CARNIVAL

ANNUAL CARNIVAL

Saturday 29 June will see the return of the Annual Carnival which will be held on Thomas Estley College field.

The day will start with a parade of floats which will leave the Industrial estate at 12 noon and will arrive on the field at 1pm to mark the opening of the carnival.

REPORTED CRIME FIGURES FOR BROUGHTON ASTLEY

The Parish Council has been informed by the local Police beat team that between 12 June and 25 June 2019 there have been the following crimes reported to the Police:

2 reported burglaries in Broughton Astley
5 reported vehicle crimes in Broughton Astley.

It is essential to report any crime by either contacting the Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

RODNEY BRIGGS

The Parish Council are sad to announce the passing of Rodney Briggs. Rodney was a hard working, conscientious Senior Groundsmen who worked tirelessly for the Parish of Broughton Astley for over 25 years, he was due to retire at the end of this month. Rodney was well respected by Councillors, colleagues and local residents, he will be greatly missed.
