Leicester County Council Household Support Fund
The DWP Household Support Fund is now open. It opens up 2-3 times a year and is aimed at helping low income individuals and families. Here is a link for the info:Household Support Fund | Leicestershire County Council
Two things you need to know:
- There is a pot of money allocated to serve the HSF and when it's gone, it's gone. The window for applications is normally only 3-4 weeks then it is closed whilst the pot is topped back up for the next round. So if you are pointing someone towards it please check the link and make sure it is open first and advise that they would be best to submit an application immediately. A customer should be advised to check this website to see if they qualify.
- HDC Customer Services is a referral point and we can help them get it sorted so point them straight towards us if they think they qualify. Each window we process several hundred applications.
