ESSENTIAL DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE WORKS A5 Smockington to Bittesby

We are writing to inform you that unfortunately, work on the A5 Smockington to Bittesby will be postponed from 21st March to 25th March 2022. This scheme has been re-scheduled to enable works on the M6 westbound between Junction 1 and Junction 2 to be carried out as planned. This strategy minimises disruption and confusion wherever possible with regards to works traffic diversions. When will the work take place? Work will continue until the postponed date and will resume on Monday 28th March. To keep our programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise disruption to the local community, we will work overnight between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday. Please note that all our planned works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, such as clashes with other emergency work on the diversion routes.

Contact Us If you have any questions about this work, please contact our dedicated Public Liaison Officer, Leanne Gibson, as follows: • Email: leanne.gibson@amey.co.uk Alternatively, you can contact our Highways England Customer Contact Centre as follows: • Email: info@highwaysengland.co.uk • Telephone: 0300 123 5000

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will do our very best to complete the work as quickly as possible, keeping disturbances and noise to a minimum.
