Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) changes to the booking system

Recycling Centre Information

Due to revisions to Government guidance concerning social distancing on July 19th, we are now in a position to remove the booking system for the Recycling and Household Waste Sites on this date. This will mean that users can turn up at any site when it is open to dispose of their household waste. The table confirms the opening days and times of the sites. The columns go from Monday through to Sunday left to right and are 9:00am-6:00pm

From Monday 19 July: there will be no booking necessary to visit a waste site, but anyone using a van or trailer, or bringing certain waste types, will require a waste permit to visit. The permit application form is available from Mon 12 July.

The safety of the public and our staff on our sites remains our utmost priority and, whilst we are now in a position to remove the booking system, we will continue to encourage safe social distancing and measures on the sites in line with the continued guidance. In order to help manage the anticipated increased traffic peaks traffic management will be operational on 8 sites (Barwell, Coalville, Kibworth, Lount, Melton, Mountsorrel, Oadby and Whetstone) from Friday 16th July.
