Following a recent meeting with Severn Trent Water Authority, the Broughton Astley Parish Office can confirm the following details with regards to forthcoming scheduled mains water pipe replacement starting on Coopers Lane, Dunton Bassett and finishing on Station Road, Broughton Astley.
Work will commence on 28 October and will be carried out in 5 stages along the route for a total of 21 weeks during which time the road will be closed to traffic apart from residential access to properties. The road may reopen for a period of time over the Christmas Holidays.
Representatives from Severn Trent Water Authority will be hosting a drop in consultation session at Broughton Astley Village Hall on Tuesday 22 October from 3 - 7pm and will be able to answer any queries or address any concerns you may have. Severn Trent will also be distributing notices this week to residents giving further details of this work.
The Parish Office would confirm that they raised concerns with the water company representatives at the recent meeting over the impact and disruption this work will have on not only Broughton Astley and Dunton Bassett, but on the other neighbouring villages.
