Following the positive reception received from the large poppies placed on lamp posts in the village in time for last years Remembrance Parade, the Parish Council are planning to erect a minimum of 100 of these poppies again this year to mark 100 years since the end of WWI.

As part of the commemoration, the Parish Council are offering each poppy for sponsorship to raise funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. A suggested minimum sponsorship donation of £5 per poppy will allow the sponsor to write a dedication card which will then be placed upon a poppy.

The poppies will be erected on the lamp posts lining the parade route (Main Street, Frolesworth Road and Station Road), but if more than the initial 100 poppies are sponsored it is planned that they will then be erected along Broughton Way too.

If you or your family members would like to sponsor a poppy, then please either complete the attached form and return it with your donation to the address shown on the top right of this website, or come and see us in person at the Carnival where you can complete your application.
