Clerk: Debbie Barber
Council Office, Station Road
Broughton Astley, Leicester

A (temporary) permissive footpath has been installed and opened by Leicestershire County Council (with permission of Jelson Ltd) to provide a safe route for pedestrians from Cosby Road to the new Aldi store.

The entrance / exit is opposite Willowbrook Road and follows the boundary hedge around the field and the exit / entrance is by the light controlled crossing on Broughton Way.

A map is attached showing the footpath marked in blue.

The entrances / exits have a green 'gate' installed at the request of the land owners to prevent the unauthorised access of motorcycles / quad bikes, but do allow single buggies and small mobility scooters to access through.

Once the Community Leisure Facility has been constructed and completed, a permanent footpath will be installed in its place.
