Residents invited to sign up to Harborough District Council's garden waste service

Leaflets are being placed on bins in the Harborough district informing residents how to sign up to the new garden waste subscription service.

Harborough District Council is introducing a £40 per bin subscription fee for garden waste collections from 4 April 2016 which residents will be able to sign up to.

Proposed new dog laws – consultation goes live

People are being invited to have their say on proposals around new dog laws.

The Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 has introduced powers for councils to bring in Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) to identify and address particular problems such as dog fouling and dogs not on leads in public places.

Please note that the Parish Council are aware of the situation regarding the un-emptied dog waste bins in the village and are working to resolve this issue as a matter of urgency.

Temporary Footpath Closure of: Old Rectory Close

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to the closure of the part footpath in Old Rectory Close, Broughton Astley.

The closure is required from Old Rectory Close to St Mary's Church.

The footpath will be closed from 07:00 hours Monday 16 November 2015 for up to 9 days.

This will safely allow the installation of a new gas supply.
