Broughton Astley Carnival 2016

'The Best of British'

Saturday 25 June 2016, 12 noon to 5pm at Thomas Estley Field and Village Hall.

Parade starts at 12 noon.

New Dog Controls to Tackle Irresponsible Pet Owners

New regulations to tackle irresponsible dog owners are set to come into force.

The Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 has introduced powers for Councils to bring in Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) to identify and address particular problems in their areas.

Residents are being asked to help protect open and green spaces across the Harborough district

Extended Licensing Hours for The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations

The Government has issued regulations to allow pubs to extend their licensing hours by two hours on two days to mark The Queen's 90th birthday celebrations.

Pubs with a normal licence will be able to stay open for an additional two hours on 10 and 11 June 2016 until 1am. The two days fall on a Friday and Saturday.

Charity’s welcome boost thanks to funding

A local charity, which supports those with long term health conditions, has been able to help more people thanks to a grant.
