Extended Licensing Hours for The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations

The Government has issued regulations to allow pubs to extend their licensing hours by two hours on two days to mark The Queen's 90th birthday celebrations.

Pubs with a normal licence will be able to stay open for an additional two hours on 10 and 11 June 2016 until 1am. The two days fall on a Friday and Saturday.

May Bank Holiday

The Parish Office will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, 30 May 2016.

Normal office opening hours resume on Tuesday, 31 May 2016 at 9am.

Charity’s welcome boost thanks to funding

A local charity, which supports those with long term health conditions, has been able to help more people thanks to a grant.

Afternoon Tea Dance - CANCELLED

The 'Afternoon Tea Dance' in celebration of The Queen's 90th birthday on Thursday 21 April 2016 has been cancelled.

Changes at Recycling Sites - April 2016

In 2015 Leicestershire County Council consulted on a range of cost-cutting proposals. As a result, the following changes to recycling and household waste sites were agreed:

New opening times
Each of the 14 recycling and household waste sites will open five days per week throughout the year:

• October to March, 9am – 4pm
• April to September, 9am – 7pm

Get your green bin sticker today

Harborough District Council is reminding residents that, if they haven't already, they will need to subscribe to have their garden waste collected from next month.
