COTTAGE LANE ROAD CLOSURE

PRESS RELEASE

A road closure is require on Cottage Lane, Broughton Astley from the junction with B581 Broughton Way for approximately 100m on 3 April 2018.

These works will facilitate the permanent closure of Cottage Lane's access from Broughton Way. A new entrance for Cottage Lane will be created from Box Road and the roads will then be adjoined.

ROAD TRAFFIC ORDER

Leicestershire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:

To impose a No Waiting at Any Time on part of Broughton Way, Buxton Crescent, Box Road and Cottage Lane, Broughton Astley.

MISSED BIN COLLECTIONS

Please see below information received from Harborough District Council regarding any missed bin collections from yesterday.

Due to the accumulation of snow in some areas of Harborough district this week, some bin collections have been affected.

BRICK QUARRY LAKE - SPEEDWELL ROAD

The Parish Council has been informed that unauthorised access has been made into the former Brick Works Quarry off Speedwell Road and that trees and shrubs have been unlawfully cut down.

Following the recent sale of three areas of Public Open Space land within Broughton Astley, the Parish Council would like to clarify its position on this matter.
