The Parish Council have been advised that the public footpath from the George and Dragon public house to Hobby Close and a further section from School Close to Cosby Road will be closed from 9 September 2019 for approximately 4 weeks.

The work is to make improvements to the footpaths.

Broughton Astley Parish Council has received an unqualified audit opinion on the Annual Return 2018/19 provided by the appointed external auditor PKF Littlejohn LLP.

The Annual Return is open for inspection for 14 days from 16 August 2019 and can be viewed at the Parish Office between the hours of 9am to 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Saturday 29 June will see the return of the Annual Carnival which will be held on Thomas Estley College field.

The day will start with a parade of floats which will leave the Industrial estate at 12 noon and will arrive on the field at 1pm to mark the opening of the carnival.

The Parish Council has been informed by the local Police beat team that between 12 June and 25 June 2019 there have been the following crimes reported to the Police:

2 reported burglaries in Broughton Astley
5 reported vehicle crimes in Broughton Astley.

It is essential to report any crime by either contacting the Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
