VILLAGE HALL CLOSURE

Due to the adverse weather conditions the Village Hall will be closed to all classes today. The Parish Office will remain open as usual from 9am to 1pm.

The Village Hall will re-open tomorrow for all classes as usual.

ANNUAL CAROL CONCERT

This years annual Carol Concert with the Leicestershire Salvation Army Band will take place in the Village Hall on

Friday 8 December 2017 at 7.30pm

2 free tickets per household are available to residents of Broughton Astley. (Unfortunately we are unable to permit entrance to children under the age of 10 years of age)

REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE

REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE

Sunday 12 November 2017

There will be a temporary Road Closure to allow the parade to pass.

It will leave the Co-op Car Park to St Mary's Church and will take approximately 20 minutes.

The parade will then leave St Mary's Church at approximately 10.30am and parade back to the War Memorial.

Wreaths will be laid, the Last Post will be played.

The Parish Council are seeking tenders for the installation, erection, maintenance and dismantling of the Christmas Light display in the village centre for 2017.

ANNUAL RETURN

Broughton Astley Parish Council has received an unqualified audit opinion on the Annual Return 2016/17 provided by the appointed external auditor Grant Thornton UK.

The Annual Return is open for inspection for 14 days from 31 August 2017 and can be viewed at the Parish Office between the hours of 9am to 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

HARBOROUGH LEISURE SURVEY

There is just over a week to go before Harborough District Council's consultation on leisure provision in the district closes.

Visit www.harborough.gov.uk/active to complete the survey on line by 15 August 2017.

At the end of each financial year the public have the right to view the unaudited accounts of Broughton Astley Parish Council.

INSTALLATION OF NEW ELECTRICITY CABLES

Western Power Distribution have written to inform us that they will be carrying out network reinforcement to our 11kV networks.

They will be installing 2 new circuits to ensure the system can accommodate our additional neighbourhood plan buildings.
