HARBOROUGH LEISURE SURVEY

There is just over a week to go before Harborough District Council's consultation on leisure provision in the district closes.

Visit www.harborough.gov.uk/active to complete the survey on line by 15 August 2017.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

Closure of Dunton Road, Broughton Astley.

Notice has been given that a closure is required on Dunton Road, Broughton Astley from the junction of Croft Way to the junction of Speedwell Drive.

The closure will be in place from 19:00 hrs Friday 14 July through to Sunday 16 July 2017.

This is for public safety to allow the installation of a new Zebra Crossing.

At the end of each financial year the public have the right to view the unaudited accounts of Broughton Astley Parish Council.

The accounts are available to view at the Parish Office between Monday 26 June and Friday 4 August 2017.

INSTALLATION OF NEW ELECTRICITY CABLES

Western Power Distribution have written to inform us that they will be carrying out network reinforcement to our 11kV networks.

They will be installing 2 new circuits to ensure the system can accommodate our additional neighbourhood plan buildings.

Advance Notice of a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location: Cosby Road, Broughton Road and Broughton Way, Broughton Astley.

The purpose of the TTRO is to facilitate carriage way patching.

The TTRO will incorporate a road closure in order for carriageway improvement works to be under taken.

New Signs Warn Dog Owners to be Responsible!

New signs have been put up across the Harborough district urging dog owners to walk their pets responsibly.

The signs warn dog owners that they could face fixed fines of £500 – or up to £1,000 if convicted – if they allow their dog to foul, do not put it on a lead when instructed, or fail to produce a bag to pick after their pets.

Have You Got Your Green Bin Sticker?

Subscriptions are now open for residents in the Harborough district to have their garden waste collected from April 2017.

Harborough District Council is inviting residents to sign up for an annual subscription fee of £40 per green bin.

Extra Garden Waste Pick-Up for Subscribers

Residents in the Harborough district who have already subscribed to the council's garden waste collection service will receive an extra green bin collection in January.
